Looking for chemical compounds, substances, bioassay and structures?

PubChem provides information on the biological activities of small molecules, and includes a compound, substance, bioassay and structure search. It is open access on the web. Structures available from Elsevier MDL's DiscoveryGate and ChemBank.

These chemical tools require download and installation of special client software:

• Beilstein and Gmelin handbooks (aka Crossfire)
• MDL databases for bioactivity, metabolism, synthesis and chemical supplier.
• SciFinder Scholar to search the Chemical Abstracts database.
